Ryley Hibbs is our newest team member, having joined Etheringtons in October 2019.
Originally from the Central Coast, Ryley is easy to talk to, honest and transparent, but don’t let her calm demeanour fool you! She can draft a letter of demand quicker than you can say “Etheringtons”. With a strong sense of justice and a knack for technology, Ryley is the quintessential millennial legal professional.
After completing her Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Macquarie University in 2019, Ryley completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law in April 2020 and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in July 2020.
Prior to joining the team at Etheringtons, Ryley worked at an international bank for over nine years in banking, insurance and superannuation obtaining valuable experience assisting their in-house legal team. Adjacent to her in-house work, Ryley worked as a Barrister’s Assistant for a prominent family law barrister assisting with complex parenting and property matters. This was all while completing her law degree, which explains her exceptional prioritisation skills.
Since arriving at Etheringtons, Ryley has been working on dispute resolution and family law matters. In particular, she has experience in the following areas:
- Insurance law, including insurance claim denials;
- Building and strata disputes;
- Commercial and contractual disputes;
- Debt recovery;
- Intellectual property;
- Defamation law;
- Employment law; and
- Parenting matters, property settlements and divorces.
Behind the scenes, Ryley is an avid traveller and has travelled to 27 countries and counting. In her spare time, she loves staying active, going to the beach and spending time with her French Bulldog, Chilli.
If you ever need to know how to quickly resolve your matter, or where the best coffee is in North Sydney, talk to Ryley.
